We are entering a new era. I am thankful that we have new inventions that allow us to speak, not only to our state, and national representatives...we can actually speak to those gathering information to improve the conditions of people in the United States.
The careful administration of the assets that we have will be necessary. We still have a great abundance, however some have much more than others and as long as this exists, we will have problems.
Imagine a pond that is full, and on top of that pond are ducks that float around and gather their food from those creatures that live in that pond. These ducks are the elected and the elite of our country. They are necessary only as long as they are honestly elected. This great pond has rules and following these rules has created an even greater pond.
However, rule after rule has been broken by those surrounding and living upon the pond that represents our survival. Now, the dam has been broken and our most important asset is being drained away from the great pond. The hardship will not be upon the ducks. As the water goes down the ducks will remain upon top. To view more closely. There are fish living in the water. As the water goes down, these lower living creatures will have less water to swim and survive in. The ducks will actually benefit from less water because the fish population will have to survive in less water and will be picked off by the ducks without hesitation. This has been going on for some time now. Ducks not looking into the future did not realize that they would eventually run out of food, because they would run out of healthy fish. Yes, we have allowed our government to rule without consideration of the strife and suffering of those that they ruled over.
The pond equilibrium is damaged. Their must be something to stop the loss of water and that will be found in nature as well. Some eager beaver will build the dam back up. The pond will turn into a lake and the fish will again thrive and the ducks will rise and survive.
It would be nice if the elected ducks could survive without harming the fish that voted them into office, but this is not the way of the world. The suffering must now be shared equally. The beaver must keep the dam in good service. Natural boarders must be established around the lake. The ducks cannot take advantage of the low waters by being gluttons upon the fish. Balance must be reached, or this beautiful, natural democracy will turn into a swamp that can hold quick sand and dangerous scavengers.
We as a nation are too down to allow anyone or anything to take advantage of our vulnerability.
I don't see our population as lazy, yet we are whipped with taxes so we must work harder. Why are we forced to leave our families for longer periods of time, why must take parents away from children, what were we thinking when we decided to allow our energy lakes to run dry?
It isn't as if we can't fix our problems...the question is can we ask any more from our citizens, our workers...because they have been giving all they can possibly give. And...get this...when we reach out for help from those that are in the positions that are suppose to be there for us...we are described as leaches.
Still, there are those that are willing to risk their lives to hold this country up. There are those at the lowest wages that do all they can do to raise up our children and heal the sick. There are those that are aging and still bending to help.
OK, give us the list of things you wish for us to do to save this country. This is the question from every American. Understand, we know how to save, we know how to recycle, we know how to turn our world around...however we can't also carry the burden of government gluttony and abandonment.
